Has anyone seen my mojo running around? One thing's for sure, it ain't hangin' with me! This weekend I had the chance to scrap with some super sweet scrappy friends. Very fitting given it was National Scrapbook Day on Saturday. The day started at 9:00 am and ended at 1:30 am. Wanna guess how many layouts I completed in those 16-1/2 hours? Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. I couldn't get my scrappy groove on to save my life!!! I would pick up paper...then put it back down. I sorted through photos...smiled...even laughed at a few...and placed them back in their envelope. I flipped through idea book after idea book looking for inspiration. I certainly found plenty but when I put scissors to paper, I just couldn't do it. Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, worked. I finally decided to let it go. Why push it when you aren't feeling it? There will be other chances and I feel sure Mr. Mojo will eventually return.
I suppose you are wondering what I DID do during all that time. I ooh'ed and ahh'ed over everyone's creations, helped pull together co-ordinating items for my scrapping friends, spent a nice little chunk of change on new items at the sweet little scrapbook store we visited and laughed until I hurt. Oh yeah, I can't forget to mention all the food I consumed and you can bet chocolate was devoured in enormous quantities! With my hands idle, I HAD to do something...popping M&M's seemed to be the best option!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating National Scrapbook Day! Wishing you a week of sunshine and smiles! xoxo -L
You had fun, though. That's what matters. It'll be back when it's good and ready! :)
ReplyDeleteAt least it's better than having to paint a deck! Today, my body is acking for movements I am not use to. At least I'm glad it's done and it looks great. A nice forest green, just like I like it! It's nice to see you were well surrounded for the national scrap day! Hugs, Chantal
ReplyDeleteYou had fun...and that was the best part!!!! I know what you mean about the mojo.....if I see yours I will certainly send it your way...maybe ours ran off to that island beach together!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove ya girlie and wishing you a Fabulous week!!!
If the mojo isn't there, no need to keep on trying ... I know the feeling. You did seem to have enjoyed the day, so no worries there right!
ReplyDeleteI've sooooo missed you, I hate it when I can't seem to find the time to keep in touch with all of my friends. And when I do have the time, sometimes all the energy I've left is to hang on the couch and watch TV. I hope I'll snap out of this mood soon. Just know that I'm missing you!
Love xxx Peggy
As long as you had fun. I have been going through some of the same problems, and figured out it was b/c I was forcing myself that I wasn't happy with what I was creating....so I'm starting to get back on track! Hope you have a great week:)
ReplyDeleteLove, Jess
Well hey! I didn't get anything scrappy done either. I spent the weekend chasing down last minute donations and Sunday on the golf course from sun up to sun down...totally not complaining...there are far worse places to spend the day...lol.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a splendid week!
=)
But U had fun...and that is what is important!! I'm sure Mr. Mojo will be back soon! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you had a good time with your friends & don't sweat the missing mojo...it will come back with a vengeance & I bet that when it hits your next creation will be a stunner!!! Have a great week {{Hugs}} xx
ReplyDeleteI think mojo hides when good friends are around :) There is just too much distraction!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had alot of mojo lately either, not sure where it's at, maybe it's on vacation at the beach with your mojo, hope their having a nice time and enjoying margaritas!
ReplyDelete(At least you got chocolate!)
Have a great weekend!
Yea, I know all about losing your mojo lately! Maybe mine and yours took off on an extended tropical vacation! I was at a weekend retreat and ended up with 5 layouts and 2 cards, and most of those were challenges I already had planned out. Could not get into it AT ALL. But yep, food was plentiful and GOOD!! hehehe.
