In True Random Fashion

Let's start with the fact that I have been tagged...twice! Both Kristii and Jocelyn tagged me in this fun little game of "let's see just how bad I can look in a photo"! Just warning you. If this picture leaves you scarred, don't blame me...it's all their fault!!! lol!

Actually, I think this is a pretty cool idea. The point is to grab your camera and take a photo at the exact second you realize you have been tagged. Well, lucky me! I was at work without a camera when I discovered I had been tagged. Of course I waited until I got home to snap this lovely little photo. And you know I had to ham it up a bit. Even with some lag time to prepare myself, the thought did not occur to me to touch up my makeup or slap some color on my totally colorless lips. I think it's obvious I am not a connoisseur of Revlon Colorstay 12 hour makeup. lol! And since I cannot tell a lie, this is actually the second (ummm, maybe third) photo I took. The other two really were frightening. I had this wonky eyebrow thing going on. Don't ask...you really DO NOT want to know.

So now it is my turn. I tag Antonella, Lisa Spiegel, Lisa Houpt, Peggy, Mandy and Ellen. OK, chickies, let's see them mugs! I'll be stalking your blogs more than usual in anticipation of seeing your lovely little faces!

In other random news, Lydia and I were finally able to begin month 3 of our ChaLEAN Extreme workout. We are two weeks late starting due to the fact that Lydia had to be out of town for work. We continued to workout, we just repeated workouts from months one and two.

(Pause for commercial break.) If you want a hard core workout, one that gives results like no other, one that is as fun as it is empowering, then ChaLEAN Extreme is the one for you! (Back to our regularly scheduled program.)

This is a pic of all the weights I use. Yes, I can be a bit anal. I do keep them all lined up. Just makes me feel good. Notice how they are not only lined up, but turned so the numbers are all facing the same way? For those of us with obsessive compulsive tendencies, this rights every wrong in our world. Can I get an amen? To prove just how strong I've gotten doing this workout, take a look at this next pic.

That's right. Twenty pound dumbbells, baby! All of my chest, back and lower body exercises are done with these big guys. If you think I am bragging, all I can say is, you bet your sweet patootie I am. This has been the hardest I've EVER worked. And I've had a few personal trainers in the past whom I've labeled Workout Nazis. So please forgive my moment of self infatuation...I've sooo earned it!

Before I leave you for today, I must also give a bit of blog time to my newest friend. Meet ...uhhh...the treadmill?!?!? OK, so I stink at naming inanimate objects. But I love him/her/it just the same. After saying my farewells to my last running machine, I realized just how much I missed taking out my frustrations on this highway to nowhere. So I bit the bullet and bought a new one. This is my way of reaching my goal of running a 5k this year....late, late, late this year. I'm really, and I do mean REALLY out of shape cardiovascularly.

I guess I will be signing off for now. BTW, if anyone has any suggestions for a name for my treadmill, I'm all ears. I'm thinking a studly name might make me want to climb aboard and give it a go a bit sooner than a girly name. But I'll leave it to you guys to help me out with that one. Thanks, as always, for all the incredible comments! You guys absolutely rock!

P.S. Late breaking news!!! GO HERE NOW for a fun giveaway! And please tell Pinky the crazy lady sent ya...that would be me! But you actually knew that, now didn't ya!

  2. Your "lets just see how bad I can look in a photo" doesn't look bad at all!

Personally I vote for the "dreadmill". I can only do so many miles on a treadmill and I prefer to run outside. Good luck with your workout!

  3. Ok, I am going to try this again. I post and then nothing happens!!!! Thanks for playing along with the tag and I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE the PIC!!!! Look at the one that I posted, I look like a real crazy lady!!!!! Ok, you are not anal, I would have my weights all lined up also!!!! If I used the 20 pound ones, I would have to have an ambulance come and get me!!!! I call my treadmill, Mr. Happy because if he had a negative name, I would not want to participate! When I walk, I do feel happy!!!! Wishing you a great Wednesday sweet friend!!!

  5. Hmmm... naming a treadmill, well that's a hard one to come up with a name for, so I am just going to wish you luck with a name!
That's a great picture by the way, I still need to get mine up.
Thanks for the sweet comments over on my blog. Yeah, my hubby is a keeper, he is pretty good to me! And thanks for the comment about not being allowed to have two bad days in a row. That was part of my prayer this morning! LOL!

  6. I almost forgot!
The cricut, well my mom bought it for me last fall and well to be honest, I've been intimidated by it so I haven't used it much. Probably didn't help that the first time I did use it it didn't work right. Chalk it up to user error I am sure. But I got some tips and hints from the ladies over at Vintage Plum and also on the cricut boards and I am finally taking a stab at it again. The layout was the first thing I created.. up until then... I was practicing on old paper I had and didn't care if it got ruined. If you lived here I would let you play with my cricut anytime... or you could come visit and play!

  9. I thought the photo of you was a good one! You have make up one, you don't have boogers in your nose that I can see, you're probably dressed. A good one!
Studly name for treadmill...Brad. As in "I'm just going to jump on Brad and go for a little workout." "I get all sweaty when I'm on BRAD!"

  10. the photo is great!!! this was really fun! Lisa S., will be floored, hehe, cause I tagged her earlier in the week :).
Love the weights and girl, you brag as much as you want to about your accomplishments, with results like that you deserve to, I'm still battling my 5lb ones. I need a personal trainer with a whip cracking! I'm not consistent enough and my treadmill's name is torture, lol. How about calling it George, or Antonio, or one of those cool hunky TV guys? Download and print a pic of them and tape to the front so you can drool while your running, hehe.

  12. Love the photo! Treadmills are awesome, after you fold them up when not in use, they are great for holding bags of craft supplys and the plastic totes fit perfect on the front!
How about Carlos, Fabio, or how about Matthew -after Matthew McCaunahay - yum!
    Have a great evening!

  13. how about "stud" for your treadmill name, that way you can say " I'm going down stairs to take advantage of my "STUD". My second choice would be Loretta, that way when you haven't been running in a while, she can be "Lonely Loretta"!! Keep up the good work "Your HOTT!!!" guess who??

  14. Should anyone wonder, the previous comment was Keith! He finally learned how to leave me a comment! LOL!!!

OK Really glad to see you motivated to work out, I've been trying to find the will power to do the billy blanks system again, but I cant find the motivation to start for more than 5 minutes. I so out of shape after having peanut.

  24. Well hello Lisa, so nice to meet you in cyberspace!!! I think it is so great to meet people with the same interests and hobbies, and yes obsessions! I am one of those moms!!! This next year will be my daughter's senior year...can't wait! She does not cheer competitive, for which I am grateful, many of her friends do. My daughter has enjoyed cheering for football and basketball all these years, she started in second grade...don't think she will cheer in college, but who knows, we haven't gotten that far yet!
Guess your family are UGA fans now!!!

  27. Thanks for stopping by my blog & leaving such lovely comments! I have just enjoyed a good laugh reading your last post! I can so identify with the OCD issues & how everything just HAS to be the right way round!! Although it can make life confrontational in a household where I'm outnumbered 3-1 by untidy males!! I too have a treadmill, not named, but so old it should be called 'Rusty' & am on a serious mission to make 2009 the year I actually do 'lose it', so have been pounding rubber on a regular basis!! I'm making slow but sure progress - it's just that excercise makes me so hungry!! Catch you later!

Enjoy your new treadmill, how about killer for a name!

    ReplyDelete
  31. First of all, you look great in your photo!
Second, you should name him Teddy and then milk it for all it's worth when talking to other men and women, that you have to "go home and climb on Teddy and have a great workout", you get the picture ;)
And third, the story you left on my blog about your son's missing toy? Incredible! :)
